A Twist On Mama’s Pimento Cheese

Recipe of the Week:

SPICY PECAN PIMENTO CHEESE

  • 2 cups grated sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup grated Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 1 cup grated Pepper Jack Cheese
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup diced Pimientos
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped Spicy Pecans (recipe follows)

SPICY PECANS

  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Hot Pepper Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 cups Pecan Halves

A Twist On Mama’s Pimento Cheese … this spicy delight will surprise your guests. Serve on a bed of greens, as a sandwich, or even as a dip. Everyone is sure to enjoy.

  • In a medium bowl, combine cheeses, mayonnaise, pimientos, and pepper.
  • Mix until creamy. Cover and chill.
  • Stir in Spicy Pecans.

 

  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees F. Line a Baking Sheet with aluminum foil.
  • In a small bowl, combine butter, pepper sauce, chili powder, garlic salt, and cayenne pepper.
  • Add pecan halves, tossing gently to coat.
  • Spread pecans in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and cool completely.
