Recipe of the Week:
SPICY PECAN PIMENTO CHEESE
- 2 cups grated sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup grated Monterey Jack Cheese
- 1 cup grated Pepper Jack Cheese
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup diced Pimientos
- 1/4 teaspoon ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 cup finely chopped Spicy Pecans (recipe follows)
SPICY PECANS
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons Hot Pepper Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 2 cups Pecan Halves
A Twist On Mama’s Pimento Cheese … this spicy delight will surprise your guests. Serve on a bed of greens, as a sandwich, or even as a dip. Everyone is sure to enjoy.
- In a medium bowl, combine cheeses, mayonnaise, pimientos, and pepper.
- Mix until creamy. Cover and chill.
- Stir in Spicy Pecans.
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees F. Line a Baking Sheet with aluminum foil.
- In a small bowl, combine butter, pepper sauce, chili powder, garlic salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Add pecan halves, tossing gently to coat.
- Spread pecans in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and cool completely.
