Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

Ingredients

  • Whole Water Chestnuts
  • Brown Sugar
  • Bottle of Teriyaki
  • Regular Sliced Bacon (cheap kind ok)
  • Round Non-Colored Toothpicks

A MUST for all your football and basketball parties. These little treasures will definitely be a hit so prepare plenty! Your guests will be asking for the recipe so tell them to explore LakeConroeTXonline.com for this recipe and many others.

  1. Slice Bacon into Thirds.
  2. Roll drained Water Chestnuts in Brown Sugar until well coated.
  3. Wrap each Chestnut with 1/3 slice of Bacon and secure tightly w. Toothpick.
  4. Place on wire rack in shallow foil-lined baking pan.
  5. Sprinkle thoroughly w. Teriyaki and sprinkle w. a thick coat of Brown Sugar.

You may do this much a day before your event and refrigerate overnight.
Bake in 400* oven 15-20 minutes until Bacon appears done. Serve warm.
