Easy Pecan Pie
- 3 Eggs
- 2/3 C. Sugar
- Dash of Salt
- 1 C. Dark Corn Syrup
- 1/3 C. Butter (melted)
- 1 C. Pecan Halves
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. Corn Starch
No Fail Crust
- 1 ½ C. Sifted All Purpose Flour
- ½ tsp. Salt
- ½ C. Shortening
- 4 -5 Tbsp. COLD Water
Easy Pecan Pie looks like you spent hours on it so if you don’t tell, I won’t. The only thing that makes it better is a scoop of Texas’ own Blue Bell right on top.
Easy Pecan Pie
Beat Eggs thoroughly w. Sugar, Salt and
Corn Starch.
Add Syrup, Butter, and Vanilla and Mix Well.
Add Pecans and pour into 9” unbaked crust.
Bake at 350* 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted into middle comes out clean.
No Fail Crust
Sift Flour and Salt
Cut in Shortening until pieces are size of small peas.
Sprinkle Water over Tbsp. at a time tossing mixture after each addition.
Form into ball and roll out on floured surface.
Roll 1/8 inch thick from center to edge.
Reserve small amount to cut out leaves for garnish (brush leaves w butter and sprinkle w sugar and cinnamon…place on top of mixture in crust).
