THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Jan. 10, 2020 – Children’s author Suzanne Rothman will read at The Woodlands Children’s Museum Friday, Jan. 17.
The reading will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a meet-and-greet until 12:30 p.m., when Rothman will sign and sell copies of In That Very Spot: With Little Marcus Aurelius.
Rothman’s book is a tribute to Meditations, a series of personal writings by Roman emperor and philosopher Marcus Aurelius for his own guidance and self-improvement.
In Rothman’s story, children can follow little Marcus as he learns that, even on bad days, sometimes finding happy is a choice.
“Suzanne’s delightful book gives little ones an easy-to-digest presentation of a very important truth: Their ‘spot’ in the world has a great deal to offer,” Executive Director Angela Colton said. “Rothman wants children to see that living a happy life often begins with our way of thinking and what we choose to value.”
Rothman is the author of a number of children’s books including Little Chef, Footprints on the Minute Hand and A Monster in My Car.
Her visit is included in The Woodlands Children’s Museum’s regular $7 admission price for visitors age 1 and older.
All activities will take place at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77381.
The Woodlands Children’s Museum is recommended for ages 7 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
