THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Nov. 25, 2019 –The Woodlands Children’s Museum has packed the week of Thanksgiving with live entertainment, from Native American Dancers to magic shows.
The fun begins with performances by the Chikawa Aztec Dancers Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 11:15 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Their performances, to be held in honor of Native American Heritage Month, highlight the Aztec culture.
Tom’s Fun Band will present interactive children’s music with “world-class silliness” Friday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m., noon, 1 and 1:45 p.m.
Also on Nov. 29, Aileen Kirkham, also known as Captain Book, will bring her special blend of puppetry, songs and humor to the museum at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Monty the Magician will awe audiences with amazing feats of wonder—and a joke or two—Saturday, Nov. 30, at 10:45 and 11:45 a.m., and 12:45 and 1:45 p.m. Monty’s shows are always a hit with little ones.
“These performances, scheduled to take place before and after Thanksgiving day, will open new worlds to the children who see them,” Executive Director Angela Colton said. “The Chikawa Aztec Dancers help audiences gain insights into a vibrant culture from another time and place. Tom’s Fun Band and Captain Book invite children to use their imaginations and be silly, which are very important parts of childhood. And Monty has a knack for captivating young viewers and bringing the world of magic to life for them.”

Activities during Thanksgiving week are included in the museum’s regular $7 admission price for visitors age 1 and older.
The Woodlands Children’s Museum is recommended for ages 7 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
