Appearance includes reading, mini dance lesson and book signing
THE WOODLANDS, Texas – July 9, 2019 – Ms. Nancy, author of Ms. Nancy’s Dance Class, which takes young readers inside a real-life dance studio, will read her book during a special storytime at The Woodlands Children’s Museum, Wednesday, Aug. 7.
The event takes place at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280, The Woodlands, TX 77381
Storytime will begin at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a mini dance lesson and meet-and-greet where Ms. Nancy will sign and sell her book.
“Author visits are fun and entertaining, but there’s more to them than that,” Executive Director Angela Colton said. “They can inspire children to create their own stories and to read even more, especially when they can relate to the author. In this case, the children will even get to try the dance steps illustrated in the book.”
Nancy Devereaux—or Ms. Nancy—founded Houston’s Let’s Dance and More, a studio that teaches kid-friendly ballet, tap, modern, worship and creative dance. Teaching children about social and community responsibility is also part of the curriculum. Ms. Nancy, who became a dancer as a teenager, had a successful corporate career before launching her studio and writing Ms. Nancy’s Dance Class.
Her paperback book is $17.31 including tax.
To ensure a fun, safe experience for visitors, museum admissions will be limited during the author visits.
These activities are included in the museum’s regular $7 admission price for visitors age 1 and older.
The Woodlands Children’s Museum is recommended for ages 7 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
