THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands Children’s Museum is about to hold a big birthday bash, and everyone is invited.
The celebration, set for Friday, July 13, will recognize the museum’s eight-year mark at its Panther Creek Village Shopping Center location, 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280.
“We are thrilled to celebrate eight years in our location, and we are so proud to be a part of this community,” said Angela Colton, executive director. “Thousands of children have delighted in our culturally diverse events, programs and live entertainment. Last year, 124,500 visitors passed through our doors, countless projects were created in the Muse, fish were caught in our water play area and smiles galore were shared by children driving our fire truck.”
The birthday celebration, including singing and cake, will take place at 11:50 a.m. and will repeat at 1:10 and 2:50 p.m.
AndyRooniverse will present silly songs for children at 10:30 and 11:20 a.m., and 12:10 p.m.
Silly Songs with Gabe will take place at 12:40, 3:10 and 3:50 p.m.
Children will be delighted hearing a story read by Rapunzel, a real fairy tale princess. Story times are scheduled for 1:30 and 2:20 p.m. Each story will be followed by a meet-and-greet photo opportunity.
In addition, Storybook Theatre, set for 11 a.m., will have a special birthday theme.
Throughout the day of the party – from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – children can play in the Houston Rockets inflatable in the museum atrium.
Children also can visit the theatre area for face painting with Susan and Kate and join in creating party hats, birthday candles, sunglasses and cupcakes.
The birthday celebration is included in the museum’s regular daily admission, which is $6 for visitors age 1 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The Woodlands Children’s Museum is recommended for ages 7 and younger.
