The Woodlands Children’s Museum offers wide array of activities beginning June 4
THE WOODLANDS, Texas – April 30, 2018 – Children can immerse themselves in an imaginary world of dragons and castles, engineer their own robots and delve into many other adventures at The Woodlands Children’s Museum’s summer workshops.
The museum has scheduled a wide selection of age-appropriate activities for children ages 4 through 10. One-week workshops begin June 4 and continue through Aug. 9.
“We design our hands-on summer workshops to promote growth and exploration, but always in the spirit of fun,” said Angela Colton, executive director of the museum. “We will create opportunities to be silly, to get lost in imagination and to make one-of-a-kind creations.”
This year’s summer offerings include Discovery Workshops for 4-year-olds. Each class is designed to foster creativity and promote self-expression.
Discovery Workshops range from A Circus Life for ME, where children can experience clown face painting with a professional clown, to Crazy About Critters, where special presenters will introduce the children to a variety of furry, feathered and scaly animal friends.
The museum’s Creative Workshops are designed for children ages 5-8, and includes Dragons, Knights and Wizards, Oh My!!! – exploring the medieval and renaissance eras through castle building from recycled materials, catapult construction, hat making for wizards and other projects.
The museum also will present RobotiKs workshops this summer. During E.A.R.L.Y. (Engineering and Robotics Learned Young) Robotics, for ages 7-10, children will build robots from LEGO® kits in a team-building atmosphere and join a friendly competition on the final day.
