Since opening in November 2016, the technologically advanced Family First Urgent Care clinic is serving over 400 patients per month with fast, convenient, affordable care. Through customer surveys, Family First has received consistent positive feedback regarding their friendly, attentive, compassionate medical staff, clean and inviting facilities, efficient administrative staff and ease of gaining access to care. Center statistics over the first year show the average patient spent a total of 30 minutes per visit, including wait time. Parents have been especially vested in returning because the center has become a go-to resource to keep their child’s issue from becoming a crisis.
Family First Urgent Care offers treatment options for
- minor, non-life threatening emergencies or injuries, such as cuts or lacerations, sprains or fractures
- illness, such as coughs and colds, stomach aches, ear infections, fever
- physicals for sports, school, employment or insurance purposes
- pediatric services for immunizations, coughs/colds, rashes, skin infections, sprains or breaks, cuts or lacerations
- x-rays and in-house lab testing and
- aesthetic services such as Botox, fillers, BioTE hormone replacement and weight management.
The practice is owned by nurse practitioners Connie Bowlin NP-C, Kimberly Byrum FNP-BC, and Claire Pollard NP-C. Each of the owners has extensive emergency room experience.
“Our passion to nurture people is paramount in our practice,” Pollard said. “We started Family First Urgent Care because there was a continued demand for medical facilities in our area. We wanted to provide compassionate quality care at an affordable price, give excellent service and help navigate insurance benefits. A majority of our patients are covered under high deductible insurance plans or they don’t have insurance. We have provided affordable cash pay options to work with them. A lot of our patients are repeat customers, utilizing our practice as their primary care option. My partners and I are humbled by the response from the community that we have received.”

Family First Urgent Care is owned and operated by three female Conroe nurse practitioners who felt a calling on their lives to nurture patients within the community in which they live. With 75+ years of combined experience in family and emergency medicine, they felt they were best together. Ever vigilant to the needs of others, they saw the demand for additional medical facilities in our community. It was this need that made these women take a leap of faith and Family First Urgent Care came to fruition.
The name Family First is precisely what the owners believe in — area families are just as important as the owners’ families. Family First Urgent Care’s mission is to provide compassionate quality care at an affordable price to residents of Montgomery county and surrounding counties.
Family First Urgent Care is committed to making the billing process as easy and convenient as possible, and will work hard to ensure patients receive the full benefits entitled through insurance coverage. Most insurance carriers and Medicare are accepted. Co-pays are charged at time of service.
Family First Urgent Care is located at 2101 S. Loop 336 W, Suite #100, Conroe, Texas 77304. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., closed Sundays.
