How do you keep the “World’s Tallest Statue of an American Hero” looking good to the thousands of folks driving past on Interstate 45 every day?
We stopped by the Sam Houston Statue along I-45 near Hunstville not long ago and watched as they were giving him a new coat of paint. Curves, angles, pockets, shoes and a 20 foot walking cane present their own challenges in this effort, not to mention that the top of Sam’s head is 77 feet above the ground!
Enjoy this short video of what we saw that day.
