Buying books and movies gets expensive in a hurry, and even renting can add up. But, your local library should have many of the latest books and movies available to check out free of charge. Some libraries have additional items that you can check out, including e-books, games, puzzles and children’s toys, CDs and audio books, videos and magazines. So, before you run out to shop for such things, visit your local library.
On the other hand, getting rid of the internet and using the library COULD BE A BAD IDEA! Not long ago, I read that one could save lots of money just by using the library’s internet and getting rid of cable internet. NOT SO FAST! While security issues are continually being addressed, before you use those free WiFi networks, keep in mind that quite often security goes out the window and you are opening yourself up to hacking. Be sure to read the fine print before you use anyone’s free WiFi, library. Otherwise, as the fine print says: “… will not be responsible for any information (i.e. credit card) that is compromised …”
But, just because you might not want to us the internet at a library doesn’t rule out using it in many other ways.
