Cassandra Roschen of the Conroe / Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce welcomed approximately 30 guests May 21, when LakeConroeTXonline launched its online presence with a ceremonial Ribbon Cutting.
Local Advertising Redefined
Owners, Ron and Barbara Frazier, provided information about their online magazine, saying “We are a family-oriented publication … an online community magazine about where you live, work and play.” They also explained that the phrase, “Local Advertising Redefined” describes their vision for the Lake Conroe area business community.
Ron invited Pastor Dan Schiel to open the event with prayer, and followed with more discussion about the concept that had evolved from his and Barbara’s combined decades of experience in print publications. Barbara encouraged everyone to “visit our website and take a tour through the entertaining, human interest articles and photo galleries, as well as news about little-known area activities.”
Chamber president Scott Harper said “your idea is amazing because Lake Conroe is the hot topic in conversations everywhere. It’s essentially what brings our communities together … the common thread that connects Conroe, Montgomery and Willis.”
Following the Ribbon Cutting, guests were greeted with delightfully tempting hors d’oeuvres provided by Lynn Winn and Diana Salazar of LeCookery / Winn Catering in Spring.
