What would you do if your child needed an emergency appendectomy?

So far, donations for T.J. And his girls amount to $240 on http://www.gofundme.com/dgdzdc, and they need at least $200 more TONIGHT! To avoid being out on the street tomorrow. Our request is that each person reading this would do two things: 1. Donate $5 (or more if you can) 2. Encourage your friends and family to donate $5 if possible. If we can reach 150 people who will donate $5, that will page for housing for T.J. and his three daughters until he gets another pay check. If those 135 people could afford to donate $10, that would pay for a place for them to stay the month of September, and help him rent another place at the end of September.

When T.J.’s 12-year-old daughter had an emergency appendectomy, he did what any single father would do — he took care of her!

To do that, he had to be off work for a month and had no paycheck for that entire month. That left him and his three children struggling to keep food on the table, and he was unable to pay rent.

The sad part is that his landlord did not work with him despite the medical crisis that kept him off work, and T.J. was unable to make some payment arrangement so they could stay in their rental home.

He had a good job and was able to return to that job this past week, but will not get paid again until Oct. 1.

This single father has no outside help raising his three daughters!

That’s where YOU can help! He is trying to get enough financial help to be able to stay in an extended stay motel until he gets paid.

Thankfully, my friend Margie Taylor of Taylorized PR, has many resources since she has worked with a couple of non-profit agencies that help those in need. When I told her about T.J.’s situation, she got started immediately seeking help. Though we contacted various local organizations, no immediate help was available, but Margie worked her magic, and now help is coming.

Mary White of Keller Williams, Margie Taylor, and Nathan Arrazate established a fundraiser through http://www.gofundme.com/dgdzdc. They are the fund moderators and will review and provide complete transparency of all donations and their distribution.

This father and his children need YOU! Please help!

Thanks to the loving generosity of a few, the following has been accomplished so far:

  • Secured a storage unit and the 1st month rent($100) is paid.
  • Got the family funds for gas and food.
  • Loving strangers dropped off some gift cards for the girls to go back-to-school shopping. More is needed but what a start!
  • Secured some backpacks from Keller Williams in Conroe and some people have dropped off school supplies at Keller Williams, FM 3083 and Hwy 105, and Christ Church on League Line in Conroe.

Here’s a list of what we still need:

$350 a week, for the next 5 weeks of rent for the family of 4 at a local motel. $100 deposit. He gets paid once a month.

  • $500 for the next 5 weeks of groceries.
  • $250 for gas at $50 per week.
  • $400 is a cushion for unexpected incidentals.

GRAND TOTAL NEEDED … $3,000.
PLEASE SHARE THIS NEED and PRAY for Mr. Ramirez and his girls. Thank You.
