Get in the Holiday Spirit: Christmas in August to support The Woodlands Children’s Museum

The Woodlands Children’s Museum, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting culture, health and creative play, will have its own booth at the 12th Annual Fall Home & Garden Show The Woodlands where they will be taking orders for fresh holiday wreaths.

The event, featuring fresh ideas and resources to spruce up your home, is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 23 and 24, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center located at1601 Lake Robbins Drive.

The Fall Home & Garden Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 23 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 24. Tickets are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and free for children under 12. Free parking is available in the parking garage behind the convention center next to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The Children’s Museum invites visitors to celebrate their “Celebrating Christmas in August” booth where attendees can reserve a gorgeous, fresh Frasier fir double full holiday wreath for $79. Also, they will have table centerpieces for $35 each. The museum will continue taking orders well into the holiday season.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum will also offer a free take-home art activity for children attending the show.

“Celebrating Christmas in August” allows families to prepare for the holidays,” the museum’s executive director Angela Colton said. “This fundraiser gives residents in the area an opportunity to support their local museum’s educational exhibits and events – while at the same time sprucing up their home for the holidays.”
