There’s Still Time to Sign Up for Workshops at The Woodlands Children’s Museum

THE WOODLANDS, TX – July 16, 2014 – Lindsey Peyton

Summer Workshop

Summer Workshop

Make the most of your child’s time off from school with a variety of offerings that explore a range of subjects —  from art and chemistry to biology and culture — for ages 4 to 8. The deadline for enrolling is August 15.

While the “LEGO Frenzy Meets Righteous Robotiks” and “E.A.R.L.Y Robotiks” courses filled up right away, there are plenty of spots available in other workshops at the museum.

For 4-year olds, try “A Box of Ideas,” which explores the creative process around cardboard boxes or “Crazy about Critters” to learn about animal friends and nature. Other options include “A Circus Life for Me,” “Crazy Art,” “Insects, Dinosaurs and Mammals,” “Princess and Pirate Play,” and “Kitchen Chemistry.”

Children ages 5 and 6 might want to check out “Crazy About Cultures” or “Art Around the World.” In “Mask Mania,” students will discover the art of making masks — and styles from different cultures and time periods.

For 7 and 8 year-olds, there’s “Shakin’ It Up With Shakespeare” and “A Taste of Texas.”

The “ARTrageous Workshops” allow children to explore a variety of media, techniques and ideas.
