DATE CORRECTION: Benefit in Conroe for Daisie Hilborn set for Sunday, July 21!

Please note that the Benefit being held for Daisie is on SUNDAY, JULY 21, and not Saturday.

Daisie HilbornDaisie Hilborn is a 14-year-old girl living in Montgomery who was diagnosed with ALS Leukemia on June 13.  She is the granddaughter of Marilyn Kasmiersky who works with the Business Development office of Lone Star Family Clinic in Conroe.

This is a rare cancer in children, therefore her treatment is aggressive. Texas Children’s Hospital  says she will be in the hospital a minimum of six months with aggressive ongoing chemotherapy, red cell platelets, blood transfusions, spinal lumbar punctures on the mass in her spine, as well as possible bone marrow transplants. This is devastating news to her and her family. You can only imagine the ongoing expenses treating this terrible disease. Your prayers and support are welcome for this family.

There will be a benefit event for Daisie this SUNDAY, July 21, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds from 12 noon until 6 p.m. Fajita dinners will be available for $10.  This is a family friendly benefit with live music from the Josh Ward Band which has donated its time. There also will be a silent auction, raffle drawings, food, drinks and fun. Everyone is invited to come on out and support Daisie.

To help keep the lines shorter and get an estimate of how much food we will need, we are pre-selling meal tickets for $10 each. Meats will include beef and chicken fajitas. We are also pre-selling $10 raffle tickets. The prize will be a Gift Card Tree, a Bushmaster AR 15, or a Glock Model 23 .40 calibre.

Can’t make the benefit but still want to help? You can make a donation here: or mail monetary donations to Brad Perrine, executer of Daisie’s Medical/Family expense account at P.O. Box 1103, Conroe, Texas 77305.  Thank you all for the support!
